Mobile phone fun...

Following my last post with a Canon G9, I have gone a little further and produced this panoramic image with a Samsung Omnia mobile phone!

The phone has a 5Mp camera built in - and whilst it is not going to replace my DSLR or even a compact camera any time soon, it does take reasonable shots.

The sky is a bit overblown and oversaturated in this image, but other than that think that the quality is quite impressive.

G9 in low light

I love low light photography. It makes for difficult shooting, soft colours and the need for a really steady hand.

Over the past few months I have been testing a Canon G9 for use alongside my DSLR cameras. I wanted something to use as a carry around camera that was unobtrusive. I have found that it is also a very good camera in its own right.
This image was taken in the Forest of Dean a few days ago - a very grey, gloomy day. ISO800, 1/30 s and F3.2 handheld.
